The field for the final golf major is set.
There will be 158 golfers vying to win the 152nd British Open Championship when it tees off from Royal Troon Golf Club in South Ayrshire, Scotland on Thursday. The three major winners this year – Masters winner Scottie Scheffler, PGA Championship winner Xander Schauffele and U.S. Open winner Bryson DeChambeau – will be in the field. Also playing this weekend will be Rory McIlroy, who is trying to regroup after his catastrophic meltdown in the final round of this year's U.S. Open. Tiger Woods will also be in the field, part of the 18 former British Open winners playing.
