A San Antonio couple is safe after being kidnapped Wednesday by two people, police said.
Filipe Valdez, 40, and Xhavier Martinez, 29, are in custody after police accused them of kidnapping a couple in the southern part of the city, according to San Antonio Police Sgt. Washington Moscoso.
The couple has since been reunited with their family, he said.
One person is still at large in connection with the alleged aggravated kidnapping, he said.
Moscoso said "multiple individuals" entered the house with weapons and took the couple out of the home. He added police canvassed the area immediately and gathered information on the two people's whereabouts with the help of various law enforcement agencies.
The kidnapping wasn't a random act, Moscoso said. He added individuals exited the home when they saw police and were questioned by police.
The San Antonio Police Department didn't immediately respond to USA TODAY's request for comment.
